Southwest Vacation Feb23 - Las Vegas, Death Valley, Joshua Tree, Phoenix
My friend Pete invited Lynnette and I to stay at his place near Phoenix, Arizona for a week. That started it. Then I figured, while we're out there, why not visit Death Valley? To do that, it would be easier to fly into Las Vegas. Why not spend a few days in Las Vegas and visit Valley of Fire State Park and Hoover Dam? Then Joshua Tree National Park was kind of on the way from Death Valley to Phoenix. Why not visit it? So the vacation turned into a two week deal: the first week sightseeing in Las Vegas, Death Valley and Joshua Tree and the second week in nice, warm Phoenix.
Things went pretty much as planned except for the weather which was a little colder than expected but we had a great time.
